The rules of the crown
Internet Throne is one seat, one crown, and one very impatient internet.
- How do I take the throne?
- Create an account, upload a picture, and hit the overthrow button. The current reign ends instantly and yours begins.
- How long does a reign last?
- Forever, in theory. There is no timer and no fixed duration. Your reign ends only when another player overthrows you.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Internet Throne is completely free to play. There are no payments, no bids and no paid advantages.
- What happens when I get overthrown?
- Your survival time is frozen, recorded in the Hall of Fame and turned into a permanent shareable achievement page with your rank and badges.
- Can I take the throne back?
- Yes, as many times as you like — there is a short 30 second cooldown between your own overthrows so nobody can spam the crown.
- What badges can I earn?
- Throne Survivor for any completed reign, plus 1 / 6 / 12 / 24 hour milestones, Top 10 Survivor, and Longest Reign of all time.
